With the use of the American development model, USA Boxing helps coaches further their knowledge to invest in their athletes. With three different certification levels currently available to membership, coaches can invest in their education and gain access to an immense world of boxing knowledge.
To become a USA Boxing certified coach, you must first register with USA Boxing under a non-athlete membership.
$75-$150 annual membership fee, depending on location within the United States.
To be renewed annually. Members can access SafeSport through their online profile.

Background checks will need to be submitted through your USA Boxing membership account and will need to be renewed every year. USA Boxing will cover the cost every other year. Please allow 7-10 business days for background checks to be processed.

The gold level is the fourth and final certification in USA Boxing's coaching education program. Coaches who are selected for the Gold certification course will be invited to Colorado Springs to learn from USA Boxing’s National Coaches and High-Performance staff. The Gold certification courses take place during a High-Performance Training Camps, allowing coaches to see the training implemented firsthand with High Performance Team members. Coaches will have the opportunity to cover topics such as:
USA Boxing will host 2-3 gold level clinics per year. Entry into a gold level certification clinic is an application-based process in which a coach must be selected to attend. Each clinic will have a maximum capacity of eight (8) coaches/participants. If selected, the cost of the clinic is $1,000/person for 7 days in Colorado Springs, CO. Through the 7-day course, coaches will have the opportunity to live like an Olympic athlete and gain hands-on training for elite style boxing. The total price includes housing and meals at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center for the week. Selected applicants will be paired with another course attendee in a double room on campus. Flights to Colorado Springs are not included and will be the responsibility of the registered participants/coaches.
